Some fraudsters have compromised TGP accounts have in the past few days. They have scammed members in the Emporiums by creating ads with stolen photos and requesting Paypal F&F or Venmo exclusively for payment.
We take these issues seriously. We've made security changes that I don't want to detail here to cease them. However, the all-time way to prevent this is for members to exercise proper password hygiene (which I'll particular below), plough on ii-gene authentication, and -- I implore every unmarried person here -- only use payment methods that have buyer protection. Unfortunately, we cannot control how members do deals. It is heartbreaking to run across that the lure of saving some coin will however fool people into using those methods to salve a few dollars. In today'due south world, that is simulated conviction you can no longer afford.
Every account that I've restored so far to the original owner was using compromised passwords. Talking to 1 member as I am working through getting his account dorsum in lodge, he informed me that his Apple password managing director had been compromised and made available on the dark spider web.
None of the accounts compromised were using 2-cistron authentication.
We have forced email revalidation for all members that have not signed on for a while. We highly recommend every member reading this change their passwords as a precaution. We want to highly recommend that members turn on and use TGP's two-factor authentication selection.
We have opened a discussion thread in the Pub section discussing this.We volition include a very detailed password checklist.

What makes the Tele Twang?

I know this might seem odd only what most the Telecaster gives it its coveted state twang? is information technology the pickups? the woods? the calibration length? the cervix shape/cleave/radius? the ashtray bridgeplate and contumely compensated saddles? electroncs wiring/caps etc.? and does it have to be a bolt on neck? has there always been a twangy gear up neck? Does the body have to be flat plank shaped with no comfort curves to be twangy? I guess what I'k getting at is "does it have to be a telecaster? Because I love the country twang chickin pickin sound only have never played a Tele that I liked the feel of. Granted I have non played any high end Crook, Glendale, Hahn, Monterose, Suhr, or other boutique models but I've never had the oppurtunity. I know this may open a can of worms but I'm not looking for a "whose meliorate?" but rather more than of a "what about it makes it twang?" What are the essentials if I wanted to build differently and however keep the cadre twang sound.

Information technology is the thick steel bridge plate nether the bridge pickup that alters the magnetic field.
I installed a tele bridge pickup in a strat long ago - it sounded like a strat bridge. The bridge plate is the fundamental to a tele.

Everything impacts the tone, but some things make a bigger difference than others. That bridge is somewhat unique in the guitar world, and I concur that it would probably be the biggest contributor, forth with the plate under the beefy bridge pickup.

Maple neck + ash body + Tele bridge plate + stock-still span + iii saddles + string through body = max twang
However its mostly in the pickup and bridge IMO.
Gretches twang too just its deeper... more similar twung

It'due south that little flat expanse that houses the input jack. That combined with the router hump makes for big twang.

I agree. Now, I love Teles and dearest to discuss the tonal minutae of various types of pickups, bridges, saddles, and setups, but when push comes to shove ....
Twang is an attitude. It'due south more easily expressed on a maple cervix Tele, but information technology Tin be expressed on any guitar, 'cuz mostly, IMHO, Twang resides in the fingers and mind of the Twanger.
I guess that means that if you hear it and like it, you lot're the Twang-ee? Sincerely, if I have to 'twang' a little in the eye of a vocal, I don't switch guitars - I just twang.
Thanks, Dana O.

I recollect the plate under the Tele bridge pickup makes a big difference in tone. I take two Grosh Strats with the Fralin bass plate nether the bridge pickup and both "Twang" almost as much as my Grosh Tele.
That said, I think an ash body and maple fingerboard will give you the most "Twang" whether it'due south a Tele or a Strat.
The concluding element would be the Tele saddles but I've played/heard some swell Tele'southward with Strat way saddles.

There'due south a piddling spring-cry on the hillside, above the pigpens.
I but get back there and dig me some up.
Don't you exist spying on me, now!

I concur with all the higher up, one other physical deviation is the greater bending on the span pup, which makes those high strings really become ping.

I agree with all the above, one other concrete deviation is the greater bending on the bridge pup, which makes those high strings really get ping.
Doesn't the steeper angled bridge pickup move the low East polepiece closer to the cervix instead of the high eastward closer to the span?
Anyway, the twang is in the hands, that I agree.
